UnifiedRhythmatFestival

Members of Silver Sounds joined the community band "Unified Rhythm" at the Childrens Parade for the opening of the Brighton Festival.

Ollie MacDonald from Red Zebra lead the band marching through the North Laine area into North Street and finishing up at Maderia Drive.

Hundreds of people of all ages were involved in this event that has marked the beginning of Brighton's major arts festival attracting performers from around the world.

Silver Sounds has been able to buy much needed instruments thanks to the generosity of the Argus Appeal.

Nancy Gater, Sue Bullock and Geoff Webb collected instruments from percussion specialists Adaptrapt in Trafalgar Street, Brighton

Silver Sounds were one of the bands performing at the famous Kemp Town Carnival in Brighton on the 4th of June.

This year's event was the biggest ever with hundreds of drummers, dancers and others in magnificent costumes to reflect the excitement and sounds of the Brazilian samba processions.
